Molecular Mechanisms Laboratory
Understanding Protein Structure, Dynamics, and Function
RESEARCH FOCUS
Our lab investigates the fundamental mechanisms of protein function through integrated computational and experimental approaches.
We specialize in:
• Protein structure modeling and analysis
• Protein conformational dynamics
• Structure-function relationships
• Advanced enzymology
• Allosteric regulation
IMPACT
Our research contributes to:
• Drug discovery and development
• Understanding disease mechanisms
• Advancement of computational methods
OUR VALUES
The Madan lab welcomes talented and passionate individuals from all backgrounds, including different gender identities, sexual orientations, religious beliefs and practices, and disabilities. We deeply value diverse perspectives and experiences, believing they enrich our research environment and strengthen our pursuit of scientific knowledge. Together, we push the boundaries of our collective understanding while fostering an inclusive space where everyone can thrive and contribute to groundbreaking discoveries.
OUR MISSION
The Madan Lab is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of structural biologists who will shape our understanding of protein structure, dynamics, and function. Our lab members develop expertise in cutting-edge structural biology and biochemical approaches, with a strong focus on rigorous validation and meaningful biological interpretation. Through hands-on training in both wet lab techniques and computational methods, we prepare scientists to tackle complex biological questions at the molecular level.
